SENIOR PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - TURKMENISTAN Position: Senior Pipeline Construction Manager Industry: Oil and Gas Location: Turkmenistan Salary: Highly competitive Prerequisite 1: Expensive experience in construction of gas pipelines Prerequisite 2: Fluency in Russian My client, a leading international EPC Company, is currently looking for a Senior Pipeline Construction Manager with extensive experience in construction of cross-country gas pipelines to join their multibillion projects in Turkmenistan. Successful candidates will be offered an excellent package and great carrier progression opportunities. Responsibilities and duties - Responsible for the management of pipeline construction activities on site - Plans and supervises the major functions of the construction which include the responsibility for the planning and co- ordination of all manpower and equipment, materials supplies, and sub-contracted services, towards the proper completion of the work on schedule with approved drawings, specifications, cost and quality limitations. - Monitors Sub-contractors at each stage of the work to ensure proper compliance with all technical aspects of the contract through both individual contacts and co-ordination meetings. - Directs and supervises project engineers in the performance of all aspects of their work. Exercises strict control over costs of construction particularly the use of labour, materials and equipment. This includes reviewing variances from budgeted expenditure and recommends/initiates action to bring them under control. Discusses and resolves daily site problems with site supervisors. Monitors construction progress on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and provides input to the regular reports of the Project Manager. - Maintains functional links with other unit heads in the project, particularly with the Accounts and Administration units. - Makes forward plans in section of the project for the release of equipment and personnel employed. Qualifications Skills and Experience - 18+ years experience within a similar environment - Degree or equivalent in a relevant field - Extensive experience in construction of Gas Pipelines - Fluency in Russian This position offers a great opportunity to work with a market leader and is urgent so please apply ASAP if you would like to be considered.
