Leap29 are working with a leading contractor with their need for a Hull and Marine construction manager to work on an FPSO conversion/ upgrade project. You will need to monitor and follow up that all Hull and Marine Construction in the project is executed such that the complete FPSO meets all relevant laws and regulations, current agreements with the end client and company standards and existing FPSO/vessel requirements.
Key Requirements

? Engineering degree and professional knowledge within hull and marine construction.
? Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry and offshore projects.
? Good understanding of construction governance processes and procedures.
? Ability to be a driving force for the project team and the Contractor.
Job Description
HULL AND MARINE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER- 18 months- South Korea Other responsibilities will include: ? Participate and coordinate Companies attendance at Fabrication Acceptance Test (FAT) of equipment deliveries by sub suppliers. ? Oversee Class Approval critical activities and ensure Class Society being present and accepts the constructed product. ? Ensure Contractor resolves any clashes or other problems in a coordinated manner. ? Responsible for Mechanical Completion Punch-out and coordinate Company's representation. ? Review as required Contractors' Hull and Marine Construction deliverables to ensure compliance with all regulatory and Contract requirements. ? Implement required corrective actions to ensure that Contractor will correct and remediate any failure of design or gap between the delivered Hull and Marine construction product and the Contract requirement. ? Ensure Contractor deliverables of fabrication records including certificates as required. ? Cooperate in the project management team to jointly ensure achievement of project objectives. ? Ensure that the construction supervision teams for Topside and Hull are coordinated in activities and guidance of Contractor as to ITP, quality and overall progress of construction. Essential duties: ? Ensure that all activities, for which the position is responsible for, are carried out in conformance with laws and regulations, contractual requirements and the Project Management Manual. In particular health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment shall be taken care of. ? Liaise, support and monitor Contractor's HSE systems related to construction activities and ensure that Safe Working Practices are used in all the yard work related to the FPSO. ? Lead the Hull and Marine Construction inspection team ? Act as the Single Point of Contact for Contractor regarding Hull and Marine Construction issues. ? Liaise closely with the Project Team and ensure an efficient and effective information flow between his/her project team and the Project Director. ? Support Contractor in interpretation of the Contract technical requirements and provide resolution as required to clarify. ? Interface with regulatory bodies and class societies to achieve required consents, approvals and class certificates (Within the specific Contract Strategy). ? Initial mobilization, maintenance and demobilization of personnel as agreed with Project Director and in cooperation with project support in Norway office to maintain competence and capacity in the Hull and Marine construction organisation. ? Monitor and register the project processes and log improvement suggestions for future projects. This role offers an attractive day rate + accommodation and per diem.
