My client are a top IOC in Oman looking for a senior reservoir planning engineer.
Job Description/Major Duties (general job functions, responsibilities, day-to-day tasks & activities)
The Reservoir Planning Engineer will be assigned in a multi-disciplined Reservoir Management Team to provide coordination and technical (primarily reservoir engineering) support towards the various corporate planning and reporting efforts, strategic and business development opportunities, and studies designed to support the development program. As part of the planning effort, the candidate will perform a liaison role with the Planning Group to assure that their information requirements are fulfilled. The candidate will coordinate and compile requirements for the partners and MOG(Ministry of Oil and Gas).
The Reservoir Planning Engineer responsibilities will include but not limited to:
· Coordinate and compile Subsurface-related information for the Block 9/27 rate forecasting, reserves reporting, budgeting, and capital post-audit effort.
· Perform liaison role with the Planning Group and fulfill their information request.
· Coordinate and compile requirements for the partners and MOG which includes the various mandatory annual and semi-annual meetings.
· Complete the various internal and external monthly reporting requirements.
· Provide reservoir engineering and economics support for strategic and new business development opportunities
· Complete reservoir studies in support of the development program.
Requirements (Minimum education required, background, experience, skills)
· Bachelor Degree in engineering discipline.
· Minimum of 10 years of reservoir engineering experience.
· Proficiency in reservoir engineering and waterflood management concepts and tools.
· Proficiency in performing economic evaluations of development projects including risk analysis.
· Knowledge of and experience with reserves evaluation, booking, and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) guidelines.
· Strong project coordination/management and mentoring skills.
· Ability to interact effectively with team members and outside parties.
· Familiarity with OFM (Oil Field Manager) software is desirable.
· Economic evaluation skills using Merak PEEP (Petroleum Economical Evaluation Program) software is desirable.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
