Production Manager Job - Goals Management Consultant Apr 3rd 2012, 20:56 * Controls production & planning activities in all process stages. * Follows up and controls the personnel in production department in order to achieve the targeted quality, productivity, efficiency, work safety, cleanliness & tidiness. * Runs & follows the existing system strictly according to NK procedures and work instructions, and determines the system that can't be applied. * Controls and studies the process of production standards (break down, set up time, waste, etc…) and takes the necessary measures in cooperation with relevant departments, in order to optimize it. * Coordinates between production dept. and other departments. * Works closely & coordinates with tech & Q.A. and maintenance managers to minimize the quality problems. * Participates with the different committees (technical - planning - management) in studying, analyzing and making decisions for the different company matters. * Prepares & follows up the dept. personnel training programs & evaluates this training periodically. * Determines the needed working instructions, and makes regular revision to upgrade them. * Solves the production problems that are not systematic and coordinates with production group to solve systematic problems. * Contributes in studying upon modernization and cost saving. * Ensures that non conforming products are identified at the earlier possible stage to avoid ongoing manufacturing of non conformance. * Audits his & other depts. To insure that the company Q. system is applied properly. * Submits the periodical and necessary reports to GM & top management. * Issues & approves performance evaluation for his subordinates. * Approves leaves, penalties, transferring and training of his subordinates. * Approves purchase requisition for his department. * Joins the evaluation with commercial department of the offers for purchased products which will be used in his department.
